Part dry hair on one side and grab a chunk of hair between the hairline and temple. French braid the hair until you reach the back of your head and then braid it normally to the end. If your DIY French braid isn’t good enough, a regular braid on top of hair will look good too.
Now gather hair into a low-ish ponytail, leaving some volume at the crown, and secure it with a hair tie. Grab the braid and wrap it around the hair elastic and tuck the end into the elastic or bobby pin it. If you want, add a curl or two to the ponytail to boost volume.
